Participate in the Ghirardelli Square community quilting project, up for the month of February.
Quilting has a presence in African history from the African content to locations throughout the diaspora. The art form has been used to tell stories, send messages, and provide maps. A long standing tradition, families have passed quilts down through generations to keep family and cultural history alive.
Fabrics with African patterns are available to choose from. Blank fabrics are also available, if you’d like to create your own pattern or illustration to include in the quilt.
Thank you for joining us. Asè.
